SDSS (Sloan Digital Sky Survey) add-on released

Here is the official release of the SDSS add-on. The SDSS add-on displays data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, in World Wind.

DYNAGIS Boundaries 1.0 released

This AddOn includes a complete set of all national AND administrative boundaries as well as labels for all 249 countries and all 2605 administrative areas. The countries boundaries are included in two different versions. The default version shows the boundaries without coastlines and a 2nd version shows the countries boundaries 'outlined' (coastlines included).

Venus add-on released

This add-on adds another new world to World Wind, it includes placenames, spacecraft entries and landings, and three different datasets.

Feeds (geocoded web feed plug-in) - Updated to v1.1

The feeds plugin has been updated to version 1.1. New in this version are custom icons and a World Wind Hotspots feed provided by World Wind Central. Each example feed now has their own icon to make it easier when displaying multiple feeds. You can also use you own icons for feeds. Copy your icon to the feeds plugin folder and use the ‘edit’ function of a feed to change the feed’s icon filename.

Mars landmarks (fictional) add-on released

Withak used maps from Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars series and made an add-on out of the locations. The maps in the books aren't always in agreement with the imagery, but he tried to reconcile the differences between the maps and the actual geography.

This addon shows the isogonic contours of Earth's magnetic declination and an image intensity map.
